Today, we finally got the weather, the ice on the roads, ect. to cooperate and we got our new Recumbent Bikes out for a ride! Nothing long as it was still a chilly, breezy day but Jo finally got to the shop and got her R-bike. After a few rounds in the parking lot we took off on a easy ride just to get more in tune with the differences of riding a recumbent and standard upright bicycle. These R-bikes are , laid back, smell the roses machines, the BEST thing is that you sit like in a recliner so you get to "see" things nomally, instead of "always having to look UP" when riding a upright bicycle.
We cruised thru several paved trails and back streets of the city, finally stopping at a coffee shop, for "LEMON CAKE" to die for, LOL. Then it started to get windy and the cloud cover came in so we headed home. Jo and I think these "recumbents" are our future in bicycling, the next one up, might be a "recumbent tandem" (bicycle built for two)!!
